Lady Lions one win from claiming ACCC regular season SB title:

GDW Analysis:
HANCEVILLE: Wallace State softball has a .750 winning percentage this season from the home diamond.
The Lady Lions close out their schedule at Bobby McCracken Stadium Thursday facing Calhoun Community College in a doubleheader. Game 1 is set for 4:00 p.m.
Wallace State is 15 & 5 in ACCC softball, leading Coastal Alabama by 3 games (12 & 8) with 4 left to be played before the conference tournament next week in Alabaster.

 One win against Calhoun and the Lady Lions claim the top seed.
Wallace owns the tiebreaker vs. Coastal with three wins in four assignments.
Coastal is taking on Southern Union this weekend in its conference finale.
Lauren Stewart's Lady Lions have 28 victories in 40 games. The sophomores will be honored for they have endured 26 wins in 29 games played at McCracken Stadium.
The sophomores are pitcher Emily Simon, pitcher Katie Simon, OF Caroline Cartron, IF Laura Leigh Wheeler, 2B Jessie Taylor, 1B Tessa Word, C Emily Hall.
Wheeler leads the conference in home runs with 16, Taylor is 3rd with 12. Katie Simon's ERA ranks 3rd in the league at 3.01. Her sister Katie is 5th with a rating of 3.11.
The Lady Lions top the conference in team batting at .325. They have 58 home runs, 245 runs batted in and have scored 272 times in 40 games.
Wallace is 2nd in team ERA, allowing 3.10 per game. The Lady Lions have struck out 212 batters, averaging 5.7 Ks per game.
Calhoun comes in last in the conference in league wins, 6 & 14. 16 & 28 overall. The Warhawks have gone 4 & 6 in their last 10 games.
Calhoun has managed only four wins away from its campus this season in 25 games.
Their record during April was 4 wins & 8 losses.
The series will end Saturday in Decatur with a doubleheader.
