Cullman Bearcat basketball keeps going on with activity:

Youth hoops camp wraps up Thursday at Bearcat Arena:

GDW Analysis:
Last weekend, the Cullman Bearcats closed out their summer playday schedule, participating in the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) scholastic camp at Hoover High School.
For the final week of June, the program was back in Bearcat Arena with a youth camp going on for four days, directed by head coach Stu Stuedeman.
This has been something Stuedeman has made available for youngsters since he took over Cullman basketball in 2021.
The camp is a mixture of individual routines along with one on one competition and so much more.
Gameday Weekly stopped by Tuesday to see the teaching and enthusiasm of Stuedeman.
Stuedeman will be in his 4th season when the Bearcats open the 2024/25 schedule in early November.
Through three years with the "Black & Gold," Stuedeman's leadership has enabled the Bearcats to claim 78 wins and only 18 losses.
He holds the school record for most victories in the first three seasons of coaching at Cullman High.
Stuedeman shares this honor with former Bearcat leader Bobby Meyer in having three straight years of 20 or more victories.
Meyer accomplished it between 2014 to 2016, with Cullman winning 69 times in this span, a total of 94 games.
A very good season for Cullman is for sure possible. Twenty two wins and the Bearcats will have 100 with Stuedeman. Cullman seeks to continue the tradition that is known to fans as "Choas".
GDW analyzed 75 youngsters in the grade of K through 6 Tuesday. All were understanding how the game is to be played and what it takes to put forth an effort with the reward of victory on an often scale as illustrated by Stuedeman's accomplishments with the team's 3 year winning percentage at .818.
The camp rewarded outstanding performers per day in free throw shooting, gotcha, hot shot and team layups. The camp consisted of workouts from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Creating an atmosphere with the young society, Stuedeman has a Choas Summer Basketball League.
It got under way Tuesday with the next set of games to be Thursday at 5:30 p.m. from Bearcat Arena. The league is for players from the 2nd through the 8th grade.
It's a 6 week schedule with the finale set to take place on July 18.
So the hoops program at Cullman High is on a regular pace as far for current members that wait for the new season to come as soon as possible.
Youth camps allow great relationships to be created between the participants to Stuedeman, his coaches and players who are involved in this phase.
