GDW top performers from week of March 17:

Baseball:
Jaxon Robertson of Fairview:
Robertson was named the MVP of the Cullman County Tournament after a great outing on the mound in the championship against West Point March 22 at Good Hope High School.
Robertson threw a complete game, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits with 6 strikeouts.
Fairview edged West Point 3 to 2 to win the county title for the 1st time in 8 years.
This was Robertson's 2nd victory in a span of two weeks vs. West Point.
Robertson gained a 10 to 2 triumph at West Point March 12 that enabled Fairview to clinch the No. 1 seed for the county tournament.

Softball:
Ayda Payne of Fairview:
Payne singled, homered, drove in 3 runs and scored twice to help the Lady Aggies to an 11 to 1 victory over Vinemont March 19.
Her single in the 1st produced a run, she belted a 2 run homer in the 2nd.
Payne had a sacrifice bunt in the 6th that would lead to a run scored in which Fairview would push two across the inning and end the game in the bottom half by the run rule.
Payne and her Aggie teammates enjoyed the week by posting four wins on four consecutive days. Fairview defeated Cold Springs, Vinemont, Holly Pond and Guntersville.
