GDW Analysis:
HANCEVILLE: Of the 4 regional basketball tournaments under the guidance of the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA), the Northwest Regional from Wallace State is the first to be completed.
The tournament began February 11 and completed its wonderful journey on the 18th.
Seven girls teams and seven in the varsity have punched their ticket to the Final Four that begins Monday from Legacy Arena at the BJCC.

(G): Brilliant 46 to 43 over Marion Co in Class 1A. Macy Moore hits a 3 as time expires to give Brilliant its first regional championship.
(V): Pinson Valley 49 to 46 over Clay Chalkville in Class 6A. The 2nd consecutive victory for Pinson against Clay. PV beat Clay 47 to 41 in winning the Area 12 championship on the road two weeks ago. This title game went to the wire Tuesday afternoon.
