GDW Analysis:
VINEMONT: Gameday Weekly has learned through a media source, Vinemont High School is to hire Kaydi Woodard from Addison High School as its next volleyball coach.
Woodard is well known for producing success.
Addison won the AHSAA championship three consecutive years, claiming it in Class 1A in 2023 and Class 2A in 2022 and 2021.
Her won/loss record in that span is 105 & 28.
Vinemont has been looking for a new coach for a period of time after Bobby Daniels stepped down following one season leading the Lady Eagles to a school record 49 victories, the 3A, Area 11 championship and to the 2nd round of the North Super Regional.
Daniels accepted an offer to coach in the Alabama Community College Conference at Bevill State Community College.
Vinemont will once again be competing in Area 11 volleyball with county rivals Hanceville & Holly Pond and Blount County schools Locust Fork and JB Pennington.
Vinemont will have to replace seniors Carley Stephens, Morgan Flanagan, Aubrey Sandlin and Abby Kuykendall that will graduate in May.
Experience for the Lady Eagles with Woodard will consist of Addison Holcomb, Caroline Miller, Reagan Robinson, Emma Hathway, Mabri Smith and Arleigh Thomason.
Thomason will be in her sophomore season with Smith to be a junior and the rest will be entering their senior season for the team.
Vinemont was the No. 1 seed for last year's county tournament and will be expected to continue their impact from the floor and now from the sideline with Woodard accepting the offer to come and coach the sport in Cullman County.
