AHSAA All Star Sports Week update:

North teams go 2-1-1 in Wednesday's all star matchups:

GDW Analysis:
MONTGOMERY: North All Stars have achieved a great deal of winning in the 28th AHSAA All Star Sports Week.
Through Wednesday, the North group has 8 wins, 2 losses and a tie.
Game 2 of baseball on Monday and the tennis segment Tuesday did not get played due to rain.
North soccer 4 to 1 over South:
Cameren Thompson scored twice and handed out an assist for the North. The North tallied 3 goals in the final half to snap a 1 to 1 deadlock.
Thompson was named the North MVP.
The North has a 16-4-1 record all time in the summer series.
North girls soccer prevails 4 to 1:
Team North broke a tie in the first half to go to intermission with a 2 to 1 advantage.
The North then added a pair of goals in the 2nd half for a comfortable margin of victory.
Taylor Leib would get the first goal for the North, enroute to being named the team's MVP.
The North is 19-3-1 vs. the South in this event played at the Emory Folmar Complex.
South softball wins 3 & 0, Game 2 ends in a tie:
Very good pitching by the South in the opener from Lagoon Park enabled them to earn a shutout victory.
Victoria Moten, Madilyn Byrd and Ally Supan worked together in the circle, allowing the North six hits and retiring 10 by strikeouts.
Game 2 saw the South lead 5 to 0 after an inning as the North answered and tie the game in the 2nd.
The North would go into the 7th with an 11 to 9 edge, only to see the South come back with a pair of runs as the game ended under the lights even.
In the all time record of the two on the diamond, the North has 29 victories to 25 for the South. The pair have played to five ties.
