GDW Analysis:
CURRY: Cold Springs and Curry moved its football game to Thursday evening. This was the 3rd consecutive year the Eagles tangled with the school from Walker County early in the season.

And for the 3rd consecutive year, the Eagles open the season with a 2 & 0 record.
Cold Springs earned a 24 to 14 victory.
Brendan Voce's Eagles would lead the Yellow Jackets 16 to 7 after the first quarter and by the same margin when the game reached halftime at Travis Hudson Stadium.
The Eagles carried the nine point lead into the final stanza and were able to add a TD and 2 point conversion on their side of the scoreboard.
In two games of the 2024 schedule, the Eagles have outscored the opposition 72 to 44.
Last Friday at Ray Talley Stadium, the Eagles broke open a close battle with Hanceville, scoring 4 times in the final period to earn a 48 to 30 victory. This was the most points the Eagles have ever scored against the Bulldogs in nine meetings all time.
Cold Springs and Curry renewed its season in 2022 after not playing one another since the late 1970s.
The Eagles shut out Curry last year 20 to 0. In the last two games with the Yellow Jackets, the Eagles have gained a scoring advantage of 44 to 14.
Cold Springs comes to Cranford Stricklin Stadium next Friday for the home opener vs. the Susan Moore Bulldogs out of Blount County.
This game will also be the opener for the Eagles in AHSAA 2A, Region 6.
Kickoff will be at 7:00 p.m. on September 6.
