Both are determined to play much better than they did in their opener.
Cullman allowed a 90 yard TD on the first play of the game and never could match Bob Jones in scoring.
The Bearcats were behind 20 to 6 at halftime as Bob Jones scored twice in the 3rd, making it one sided with a 34 to 6 advantage.
Cullman scored a TD in the 4th quarter, but Bob Jones showed superior play offensively and finished the evening in Madison with six touchdowns and 48 points.
Cullman had won its home opener from 2018 to 2022 before the Bearcats were beaten in the first game at Britton Field/Woodard Stadium last year by Mars Hill Bible.
The 'Cats managed two victories against three losses in 2023 as a home team.
Coach Stiff's squad will play consecutive games on the CHS campus. Cullman opens regional play next Friday with Athens.
The 'Cats then have three straight away from home as they go to Jasper September 12, Muscle Shoals September 20 and at Brewer on the 27th.
