Vinemont girls get 10th win, wins also claimed by Fairview teams:

GDW Analysis:
A brief schedule of local hoops on the Friday before Christmas took place.
Gameday Weekly was at a pair of big county games between rivals Vinemont and Holly Pond from Vinemont Gymnasium.
Fairview Lady Aggies, Fairview Aggies, Cullman Bearcats and Hanceville Lady Bulldogs were the others to compete at various locations.
Results:
Vinemont 56, Holly Pond 46 (G): Vinemont's 23 to 5 lead after the first period would be the difference for the Lady Eagles to defeat Holly Pond and create a 1st place tie in AHSAA 3A, Area 13 play.
Vinemont led 32 to 16 at the half and opened up a 48 to 28 advantage going to the 4th. Holly Pond finished with an 18 to 8 run to cut the final margin to 10 points.
Reagan Robinson led the Lady Eagles with 21 points, scoring 15 in the 2nd half. Morgan Flanagan and Caroline Miller delivered 13 apiece with Vinemont now 10 & 3 for first year coach Emily Willoughby and 3 & 1 in the area.
Leading Holly Pond was 8th grader Millie McBee with 19 points. She scored 15 in the 2nd half. PG Madison Butts added 9. Mary Hartline's Lady Broncos fell to 11 & 5 and are 3 & 1 in area games.
Holly Pond 56, Vinemont 29: Consistency reigned from the visitors with Holly Pond scoring 14 in the 1st, 14 in the 2nd, 16 in the 3rd and 12 points in the 4th.
The Broncos claimed a comfortable 28 to 9 lead at the half.
Center Cade Allbright and PG Sawyer Olinger was a deadly combo for the Broncos with 19 points apiece.
Tim Willoughby's Broncos have their record even at 8 & 8 and are 2 & 2 in 3A, Area 13.
Colton Gillis was the leading scorer for Vinemont, hitting a dozen with EJ Sharpe scoring 6. The Eagles are 0 & 4 in the area and 4 & 10 for the season.
Fairview defeats Oneonta (G): Playing in a classic at Sardis High School, the Lady Aggies prevailed over Oneonta with shooting guard Whitney Quick getting 19 on the night.
Quick also reached 1,000 points in her prep career. She is in her first season with Fairview. The Lady Aggies have 9 wins against 7 losses for 2nd year coach Chris Nichols.
Fairview 67, Robertsdale 46: Fairview is down in the Southern part of Alabama and got a victory Friday to go to 9 & 7 on the season.
The Aggies will play Faith Academy in their next assignment at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
Grissom 47, Hanceville 42 (G): Lady Bulldogs battled the Lady Tigers in the Randolph Classic Friday in Huntsville.
Hanceville dropped to 5 & 8 for the season.
Jonesboro (GA) 68, Cullman 67 (OT): Cullman is playing in the City of Jasper Classic at Carl Cannon Gymnasium.
The Bearcats were edged Friday by a school from Georgia in an OT battle. Cullman dropped to 12 & 2 on the season.
Cullman plays Dutchtown, Georgia Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with the game to be carried live on 98.3 FM.
