GDW spotlight from week of November 18:
GIRLS:
West Point Lady Warriors
Ella Dickerson of Cold Springs
West Point went 3 & 0 during the week with county wins over Hanceville and Fairview and then knocked off Fort Walton Beach, Florida in the Gulf Shores Classic on the 23rd.
Dickerson reached a great plateau in getting her 1,000th point in an overtime victory for Cold Springs at Fairview November 22.
Dickerson encountered a season high 37 points in showing she is on her way back to steady performance after she sustained an ACL injury in January during the Cullman County tournament.

VARSITY:
Fairview Aggies

 Blake Rickard of Fairview.
The Aggies stepped it up by having a 3 & 0 venture in county games vs. Vinemont, West Point and Cold Springs.
They set the early tone in county play as they wrap up their format for upcoming seeding with games this week against Good Hope and Hanceville.
Rickard stood out with GDW on hand November 21 in leading the Aggies to victory at West Point with a game high 25 points.
The following night vs. Cold Springs, Rickard produced 15 and that moved him past 1,000 in his career.

GDW spotlight from week of November 25:
GIRLS:
Good Hope Lady Raiders
Ava McSwain of Good Hope
The Lady Raiders took on three games in the Hartselle Encore Classic. Good Hope wore down Florence 60 to 40, outplayed Mortimer Jordan 49 to 43 and finished with a 67 to 43 romp of Austin.
The Lady Raiders ended November with a 5 game winning streak after they lost their opener on the 9th to Lauderdale County in the Fairview Tip Off Classic.
McSwain was at her best in the Hartselle Classic. The senior delivered 21 vs. Austin, 15 against Mortimer Jordan and a tournament best 29 in the victory over Austin.
Her second FG in the Austin game pushed her career point total to 2,001. McSwain enters the December segment of the Good Hope schedule with 2,026 points.

VARSITY:
Good Hope Raiders

 Tucker Malin of Good Hope.
Good Hope is now into basketball status for playing 4 games in a span of 5 days.
From the Hanceville Thanksgiving Tournament, the Raiders got it going by whipping Dora 78 to 50 and beating Vinemont 75 to 32 in the semifinal.
Facing Corner for the championship, the Raiders led from the first through the third and held off a comeback try by the Yellow Jackets for a 63 to 59 decision.
Malin was on display with a career high 39 coming vs. Dora. The senior got hot with 28 in the 2nd half.
He had only 10 vs. Vinemont, but regrouped to set the tone in hitting for 27 vs. Corner.
His three game total was 76 points with GDW selecting Malin as the Most Outstanding Player.
