GDW Analysis:
GOOD HOPE: Ava McSwain remains in her role as a solid scorer for the Good Hope Lady Raiders.
She is now getting assistance from her teams with the ball club being balanced.
Good Hope earned its 9th consecutive victory Monday evening by a 73 to 58 decision over the Cold Springs Lady Eagles.
This put the Lady Raiders 5 & 0 in Cullman County games as they have a huge one on December 21 at West Point to see who will be the top seed for the 2025 county tournament.
Justin Aby's Lady Raiders were up 20 to 14 when time ended in the 1st. A lot of scoring between the two was on display in the 2nd. The Lady Raiders netted 23, Tammy West's Lady Eagles had 18.
Good Hope held a 43 to 32 advantage at the break.
McSwain turned in 6 points in the 2nd half to finish with 20.
Others made valuable contribution to the Good Hope offense in the 2nd half.
Lucie Adams hit for 6 in the final half and had 11, Sophie Konard scored 7 of her 14 in the 2nd half, Jolee McHan netted 2 FGs in the 4th and ended with 6, Lexi Marshall got 5 in the 3rd and wound up with 8 on the evening.
Ella Gossett scored 7 and Lexi Collins had 5.
The rest of the team aside from McSwain gave the Lady Raiders 53 for the contest and 24 of 30 points in the 2nd half.
Ella Dickerson pumped in 12 for Cold Springs, now 7 & 4 and 2 & 3 in the county.
Kenday Graves scored 12, Baylee Purdue had 9, Paizley Whitlow 8 and Gloria Williams 7.
Cold Springs will look to bounce back Tuesday when they face Holly Pond at newly named Dwayne Adams' court at Felton Easterwood Gymnasium.
Good Hope has the night off.
