It is indeed in the analysis of Gameday Weekly, a sports mecca.
The new Omniplex in Cullman is what GDW describes as a combination of Rupp Arena, Pauley Pavilion and the Dean Smith Center all in one.
The Omniplex, located just south of the Field of Miracles and near the Cullman Aquatics Center is described as a large scale multisport facility.
Just recently opened, the Omniplex is under operation by the City of Cullman.
The facility consists of eight basketball floors, all 84 & 50.
The Omniplex can also go into changing the structure for volleyball with 16 courts available.
GDW learned of this recently when video of the facility appeared on social media.
In having a chance to see the facility for the first time, GDW made a tour of it Sunday morning as a big time travel basketball tournament was going on.
Six of the eight floors had male players from the 6th grade through the 11th grade with the competition very intense.
Members of the Cullman Police Department were seen by GDW to provide safety to everyone that enters this sports mecca.
Cullman assistant basketball coach Dylan Finch spoke with GDW as he is involved in the organization.
GDW witnessed clock operators being members of the ACCC championship Wallace State Lady Lions team. GDW had brief conversations with Callie Tinker, Nylla Fuller, Heather and Bailey Tetro.
This is the 2nd weekend for travel basketball to be going on at the Omniplex, Finch told GDW.
The facility has a dining area and is spacious in regards of the courts not being too close to each other.
Travel basketball and travel volleyball is now a big time event and the Omniplex can be active each weekend and the income it can be presented to the city of Cullman.
On its website, the Omniplex reports the distance of traveling from Birmingham, Huntsville within 50 minutes, 2 hours from Nashville and 17 minutes from the Cullman County Airport in nearby Vinemont.
The Omniplex is part of 155 acre district with Heritage Park, Wild Water waterpark, Field of Miracles, Cullman Aquatics & Wellness Center.
In recent time, the city of Cullman has taken great pride of having recreational facilities that are second to none with the city well known for what is available for participants and fans of all ages.
