Girls:

Thomas set the tone for Holly Pond in the Lady Broncos 54 to 42 upset at Vinemont that gave them the AHSAA 3A, Area 11 title.
Thomas scored 19 points and was named the tournament's most valuable player.
The Faulkner sisters were a spark for West Point during the Lady Warriors 77 to 33 drubbing of Ardmore in the 5A sub regional last Friday at Jim Boyd Gymnasium.
Jaelyn got 19 on the night, 16 coming in the first half.
Camryn finished with 15, having 13 in the books by halftime.
The sisters accounted for 29 points by halftime with West Point well ahead by the score of 40 to 15.
Varsity:
Jake Dorough of Cullman

Cade Welborn of West Point
The Dorough brothers were sound in leading Cullman to a 66 to 61 comeback victory against Jasper in the 6A, Area 13 championship last Wednesday.
Jake would deliver 18, scoring 11 in the 2nd half. He was 4 of 5 from the line.
Sam got 15 in the final, having 11 through the first half. He was good at the line in making 6 of 8. The two combined to shoot 10 of 13 from the stripe with Cullman taking victory after trailing by 18 in the 2nd period.
Welborn put on a stellar performance in his final game for West Point, Welborn ripped the cords for 13 and grabbed 8 rebounds, 7 on the defensive side.
However, the Warriors could not protect a 14 point lead to start the 4th in this sub regional with Brewer, falling in a heartbreaker 59 to 54.
Back to back threes by the senior in the 3rd pushed the Warriors' lead to 17. They started the 3rd on a 10 to 0 run and his 2 deep shots were part of this that brought the crowd to their feet.
