GDW Monday night basketball report:
Local basketball sent a message Monday night in how to playing winning hoops as a road team.
Six girls' squads earned victory with 3 getting the task done in Blount County.
The other three wins were from Jasper, Huntsville and Arley.
A huge victory on the road at Carl Cannon Coliseum was recorded by the Cullman Bearcats that gives them the 6A, Area 13 regular season title.
Cullman 68, Jasper 40:
JASPER: Last week, Cullman got past Jasper 61 to 59 at Bearcat Arena.
In a rematch Monday, the Bearcats went from a 32 to 20 halftime lead, blowing out the Vikings 36 to 20 in the final half.
Cullman led 48 to 28 to start the 4th as they finish 3 & 1 in the area. They will be hosting the area playoffs this weekend.
Jake Dorough hit 6 treys and scored 21 for Stu Stuedeman's 'Cats. Preston Gay collected 15 and Gray Hopper delivered 11.
Cullman has added a game to its schedule. The 'Cats host Locust Fork Tuesday at approximately 7:30 p.m. The game will be live on 98.3 FM.
Vinemont 59, Susan Moore 55 (G):
SUSAN MOORE: The last time the Vinemont Lady Eagles enjoyed a 20 win season was 2004/05 when they produced 21 victories.
Monday night, the feat was accomplished with new coach Emily Willoughby directing the unit.
The Lady Eagles rebounded from their Cullman County semifinal loss to West Point and are 20 & 5. Willoughby's team has won 9 of 10 decisions this month.
Cullman 38, Jasper 28 (G):
JASPER: Cullman Lady Bearcats avoid a winless slate in 6A, Area 13 play. A victory Monday on the road puts them at 1 & 3 and 12 & 13 for the season.
Both will see each other in an area semifinal from Mortimer Jordan this weekend.
Holly Pond 51, Southeastern 19 (G):
REMLAP: Holly Pond tore apart Southeastern on the road to regain its psyche after losing in the county tournament 7 days ago in OT to Fairview.
 The Lady Broncos got 12 points from Maggie Nail and 9 by Ava Thomas to carry them to their 18th victory in 24 games.
 
Hanceville 45, Meek 35 (G):
 ARLEY: Lady Bulldogs go into Winston County and come home with a 10 point victory. The Lady Bulldogs have 9 wins on the season against 14  losses.
Cold Springs 73, Appalachian 28 (G):
ONEONTA: Cold Springs Lady Eagles run their season mark to 15 & 8 in a lop sided victory at Appalachian. The Lady Eagles are currently 2nd in the 2A state poll, behind Decatur Heritage,
St. Bernard 50, ACTE 16 (G):
HUNTSVILLE: St. Bernard Lady Saints gone into the AHSAA playoffs with 3 consecutive victories, 11 & 5 for the season and 5 & 2 in January.
The latest victory was against Alabama Cyber Tech & Engineering inside the Rocket City.
Lady Saints now focus on the 1A, Area 14 tournament as they host Cullman Christian School Friday.
Appalachian 66, Cold Springs 44:
Eagles fall to 8 & 14 with road loss.
Southeastern 53, Holly Pond 45:
Broncos go down to defeat in Remlap. They are 12 & 14 for the year.
