A lot of one sided wins Thursday in local prep basketball:

Addison wins 62 to 13, Hanceville girls in 64 to 27 rout:

Addison 62, St. Bernard 13:

 
Addison romped over the Saints at the Fazi Richard Athletic Center. Addison scored the first 14 points before the Saints hit a FG late in the first period.
Addison led 42 to 5 at the half and 58 to 9 entering the final period.
The Bulldogs have won 8 in a row, are 13 & 7 and 5 & 0 in 1A, Area 14 games.
Elijah Roberts scored 12 for Addison, who is under direction of first year coach Triston Chambers.
St. Bernard fell to 2 & 15 and 0 & 5 in the area.

Hanceville 64, Oak Grove 27 (G):
A four game losing streak was laid to rest by the Lady Bulldogs at Lane Horton Gymnasium Thursday against Oak Grove.
Hanceville swept the season series from the visitors out of Jefferson County. The Lady Bulldogs prevailed in Oak Grove 41 to 21 on December 16,
Christina Watson's Lady Bulldogs have wins against 12 losses on the current season.

Vinemont 47, JB Pennington 29 (G):
In Blountsville, the Lady Eagles closed out 3A, Area 11 regular season play with their 7th win  of the season in 8 decisions.
Emily Willoughby's Lady Eagles made Pennington the 3rd school in Area 11 to be swept by her squad.
Vinemont is 16 & 4 and currently 6th in the state 3A poll.

Good Hope 67, East Lawrence 54 (G):

Lady Raiders clinched the top spot for the upcoming 4A, Area 13 tournament with a victory on the road in Lawrence County>

 The Lady Raiders are 5 & 0 in area play and 17 & 5 for the current season. 

Good Hope 84, East Lawrence 44:
A period of frustration ended for Good Hope Thursday at East Lawrence. The Raiders ran roughshod over the Eagles to end a 3 game losing streak.
Good Hope and West Morgan share first place with 4 & 1 records in 4A, Area 13, West Morgan upset the Raiders Tuesday 87 to 82 in OT.

 Both have an area game Friday, Good Hope is at home with Danville, West Morgan plays host to East Lawrence.
The Raiders are 16 & 6 overall.


Cullman Christian 56, Meek 48 (G):
Three wins this week for Cullman Christian with two coming in AHSAA 1A, Area 14.

 The Lady Lions finish their area schedule with 2 wins out of 6 decisions. Heith Yearwood's Lady Lions are 9 & 11 and putting together momentum in the later part of their first season officially a member of the AHSAA.


Hanceville 61, Oak Grove 56:
In playing consecutive games from Lane Horton Gymnasium for the weekend, Hanceville got things in a positive way started.
The Bulldogs were up 37 to 22 by halftime and had to fight off a hard charging Oak Grove squad in the 2nd half to hang on to their 8th victory of the season against 10 losses.

Jasper played at its former home, Songer Gymnasium Thursday, according to a report by the Daily Mountain Eagle.
The 6A school has a new facility, Carl Cannon Coliseum.
Songer Gym has been used by Bevill State CC before the Bears moved back into a renovated Glen Clem Gymnasium.
All three sites are nearby one another in the Jasper city limits.
