Just the Facts:
For the finale of this year's Northwest Regional, the No. 1 and No, 4 girls teams in Class 7A set the tone for an exciting Tuesday of hoops.
Hillcrest has the top spot in the state rankings with Bob Jones 4th. Bob Jones is out to make amends after losing in the title game last year to Hoover. Hoover was moved to the Northeast Regional.
An up tempo affair with Hillcrest and Florence will be expected in their championship.
Hazel Green vs. Hartselle is a rematch for the 6A girls crown.
Two teams from Jefferson County, Clay Chalkville and Pinson Valley, are on center stage in the 6A championship.
Class 4A will see if the Good Hope Lady Raiders can repeat as regional champion. Deshler will try to deny this opportunity in a matchup of No. 3 (Deshler) vs. No. 4 (Good Hope).
West Morgan and Brooks will be the finale with Bobby Meyer eager to lead West Morgan to a title in his first season with the Rebels.
Brooks reached this round in a thrilling comeback victory last week in OT against Fultondale.
The winners will go on to the Final Four next week at Legacy Arena inside the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Center.
