Just the facts:
No. 1 Decatur Heritage and No. 2 Cold Springs start the Presidents' Day schedule with an impact encounter.
Cold Springs won the Central regional title in Birmingham in 2023 and 2024 and now are back in the Northwest Regional.
Decatur Heritage was runner up to Mars Hill last year in the Northwest Regional.
Tammy West has her Lady Eagles on a 5 game winning streak and 10 & 2 since January.
Decatur Heritage enters the title game with 9 consecutive victories and 12 & 4 in the 2nd half of the season.
Tanner has showed good play on the road in winning at Cold Springs in the sub regional then getting past Red Bay in the regional semifinal last week vs. Red Bay.
Decatur Heritage has posted 9 wins in a row and looks to have momentum on their side.
The Eagles beat Tanner 68 to 59 on February 3 in Decatur.
Marion County's Lady Raiders have played Brilliant six times on the season and been a winner in every game. The last time was February 4 in the area championship in Guin, a final of 56 to 48.
This is Brilliant's first time to reach the Elite Eight in AHSAA postseason.
Hubbertville Lions come back to Wallace after a 76 to 70 OT victory last week in the regional semifinal against Hackleburg.
Meek is on a run in the postseason with 4 consecutive victories. The Tigers defeated Athens Bible 41 to 39 to earn a berth into the championship with the Lions.
In Class 5A, the Scottsboro Lady Wildcats face a team they know rather well. Arab competes with Scottsboro in 5A, Area 15.

Scottsboro is 3 & 0 vs. Arab with the Lady Wildcats winning on February 4 for the area title 47 to 26.
Arab is in the championship after a 51 to 50 upset of No. 5 West Point last Thursday. The Lady Knights have 6 wins in their last 8 games.
Guntersville and Brewer will be a first time encounter for the grand prize in Class 5A.
Brewer got a 59 to 54 comeback win in the sub regional at West Point, then romped over Arab last Thursday in the regional 64 to 44. The Patriots have won 9 of their last 10 assignments.
Guntersville encountered a physical game vs. East Limestone in regional semifinal play and posted a 70 to 56 victory.
The Wildcats have victory in their last 4 games, all in the postseason.
Their record of 21 & 5 against Brewer's 22 & 6 is the best of the championship matchups for Monday on how equal these two squads really are.
