Six prep teams get a new coach during the week of June 10:

GDW Analysis:
Regular school board meetings were held this past week in Cullman County and Morgan County.
The two school systems were busy with three new coaches in Cullman County and two taking place in Morgan County.
Holly Pond reported at the CCBOE meeting June 13, Todd Carter is the new baseball coach, coming to the Broncos as an assistant at James Clemens High School.

Former Hanceville defensive coordinator Will McDaniel is now in charge of Holly Pond football.
For Good Hope, the Raiders report a change in baseball. Noah Holder takes over after Mitch Witcher retired following 21 seasons leading the Raiders on the diamond.
At the June meeting of the Morgan County Board of Education, Brewer and Danville schools reported hiring of new coaches in basketball.
Brewer got Fairview girls assistant Jeff Daniel to take over the Lady Patriots' program after Colton Smith recently resigned.
On the West side of Morgan County, Danville hired Sam Wallace to fill the hoops position vacated recently when Ben Mastin stepped down and became head coach at Decatur High School.
Wallace, who played athletics at West Morgan High School, is known for building the girls basketball program at Elkmont in recent years. Elkmont reached the Elite 8 of the Class 3A playoffs in 2022 under Wallace's direction.
Wallace, who is known to Gameday Weekly, told the sports website he will be with his new team on Monday in a playday series at Decatur. Danville has games with Clements at 9:00 a.m. and Hamilton at 10:25 a.m.

In Walker County, returning to lead Curry volleyball will be Dana Stewart Waldrep.
She led the Yellow Jackets to 44 wins in 66 games in 2022, winning the 4A, Area 13 championship.
Waldrep was involved with the Meek Lady Tigers in 2023.
Waldrep replaces Anna Claire Harris. Harris and the Yellow Jackets compiled a 32 & 17 record and an area title last season.
