GDW Analysis:
FAIRVIEW: Fairview Lady Aggies have a triple threat when it comes to delivering in clutch situations.
Center Arleigh Harris, guards Emma Cobbs and Emma Bryan displayed it Saturday to lead the Lady Aggies to a 38 to 27 upset of Cold Springs in the Cullman County middle school championship.
The guard combo worked well in the first half with Cobbs scoring 7 and Bryan netting 5. That propelled Matt Cobbs' Lady Aggies to a 19 to 14 halftime lead on Kinley Nunn's Lady Eagles.
Two FGs from Cobbs in the 2nd were valuable for Fairview to go from a 2 point advantage in the first to five at intermission.
Harris was held in check by the Cold Springs defense through halftime. The post player changed that with three driving FGs in the 3rd and made a huge three pointer in the 4th to give the Lady Aggies a comfortable advantage.
Harris got 14 in the title bout with Cobbs scoring 10 and Bryan five of six from the FT line.
Kenzington Daniel had 3, Addie Stacy and Analeigh Randolph scored 2. The Lady Aggies end a great season at 18 & 5.
Haley Anderson was the top performer for Cold Springs with 12, Jiselle Creel scored 6, Kynzlie Myrex and Kallaway McKinnon 2 each and 1 by Lorilei Bruer.
The Lady Eagles claimed 17 wins in 21 games this season.
