Guntersville girls BK in violation of AHSAA transfer rule:

Fairview is given a win via forfeit following ruling by the AHSAA:

GDW Analysis:
MONTGOMERY: Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) has ruled Guntersville High School girls basketball team violated a transfer rule.
Therefore, the Lady Wildcats had to forfeit all wins they have accomplished in the first half of the 2024/25 season.
One victory is now a victory via forfeit to Fairview High School.
Guntersville head defeated the Lady Aggies in a 5A, Area 14 game December 17 by the final of 47 to 42.
That is now a 2 to 0 victory for Fairview, giving the Lady Aggies 10 wins for the season and 1 in 5A, Area 13 play.

Gameday Weekly confirmed the news with Fairview coach Chris Nichols Saturday morning.
Nichols received information of the incident on Friday when Guntersville self reported the violation and the AHSAA hit the 5A school with an infraction along with an undisclosed fine.
The AHSAA reported the student athlete participated in 14 games following the investigation.

The name of the person ruled ineligible has not been released.
After learning about the incident. Fairview went into Etowah County Friday night and scored a 57 to 50 victory in OT against Oneonta. The game was played at Sardis High School.
Shooting guard Whitney Quick scored 19 points and now has 1,000 points in her prep career.
Fariview had two assignments Saturday at Sardis, taking on the Sardis Lady Lions and the Jacksonville Golden Eagles.
