Good Hope came through with a winning effort to move a step closer of claiming its 4th straight Cullman County championship.
The top seed Lady Raiders ended the first period with a three by Lucie Adams and a 14 to 6 lead.
Good Hope led 29 to 14 at halftime in hitting 11 first half FGs, four from long distance.
Fairview did what it could to stay in striking distance. The Lady Aggies trailed 40 to 31 early in the 4th before an 8 to 0 run from the Lady Raiders put the contest out the Lady Aggies' reach.
Senior Ava McSwain converted 8 FGs, 3 treys and scored 19 to be named the Gameday Weekly player of the game.
Supporting her for coach Justin Aby's Lady Raiders was 11 off the bench by Adams, 3 treys, Ella Gossett with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
Sophie Konrad tallied 8, Jole McHan 6.
Good Hope's defense never allowed any Fairview player to have a double digit contest.
Leading the Lady Aggies was Lexi Golden and Whitney Quick with 8, Davi Stidham 7 and Darby Nichols 6.
Good Hope had 22 FGs in the game, 6 treys to 10 for Fairview, 2 coming from downtown.
Lady Raiders now 19 & 5 on season. Fairview falls to 14 & 14.
Girls SF # 2 at Tom Drake Coliseum:
West Point 63, Vinemont 48:
West Point did not let an early 8 point deficit or foul trouble on SG Camryn Faulkner bother them in the highly anticipated semifinal with 2nd seed Vinemont Thursday evening.
West Point fought off the 10 to 2 disadvantage and eased into the lead at 18 to 17 when the first ended.
The Lady Warriors carried a 34 to 29 lead to the locker room.
By the time the 4th started, West Point was ahead, but only five points at 46 to 41.
The game became a victory for the Lady Warriors in outscoring the Lady Eagles 17 to 7 in the final 8:00.
Laklin Shadix, Jaelyn Faulkner and Kealie Harbison combined for 20 points on made FGs in the final half.
Shadix stood out in scoring 23 points, getting 14 rebounds, five assists and five blocks to earn GDW player of the game honors.
Jaelyn Faulkner finished with 15, her sister Camryn scored 14, Harbison with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.
Kaitlee Simmons scored on a three pointer. West Point outrebounded Vinemont 31 to 21 with 14 from Shadix, five by Harbison and Patton Fell and four from Simmons.
Reagan Robinson had 15 to lead the Lady Eagles. Caroline Miller scored 4 treys for 12 points, Morgan Flanagan 9, Vayda Yarbrough 5, Carley Stephens 4, Arleigh Thomason 1.
West Point has won 7 in a row and is 20 & 4 on the season. Vinemont lost for the first time in January and is 19 & 5.
West Point meets Good Hope for the county title Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
JV Girls semifinal at Tom Drake Coliseum:
Cold Springs 51, West Point 31:
Cold Springs had a 14 to 4 advantage in the 2nd that took them from an 11 to 11 tie to 25 to 15 by halftime.
Freshman Hagan Ellis was outstanding for Cold Springs, scoring 25 on 10 FGs, 5 treys and 5 rebounds.
She was named the GDW player of the game.
Kolie Calvert delivered 8, Kyleigh Graves 6, Keiariah Fanning 6 and Ally Light 3.
Performing well for West Point was Kenadi Pagan with 14 points and 9 rebounds.
Cold Springs plays in the JV championship at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
