GDW Analysis:
GOOD HOPE: Good Hope played sound defense all Friday evening and the offense gave a lot of good efforts in a 27 to 0 shutout of the Addison Bulldogs in the WKUL FM (92.1) Game of the Week.
The Raiders started with a 10 play drive on 70 yards, scoring on a 5 yard TD by Landon Bagwell. The conversion by Robert Rodriguez made it 7 to 0 at 6:40 of the 1st period on homecoming.
Good Hope was in a great opportunity to add to the lead when Carter Rutherford intercepted and took the ball to the Addison 5 with 1:56 left in the 1st.
The Raiders fumbled the ball on the next snap. Addison escaped just being behind 7 to 0 after the first with the Bulldogs only netting 10 yards of total offense vs. a strong Raider defense.
Another possession well into Addison land went without it being produced into points.
Tyler Cone threw an interception with Addison taking over early in the 2nd from its 12 yard line.
Addison got a punt to go 67 yards, being stopped at the Raiders' two. This was with 5:02 to go in the half and the Raiders leading by 7.
Cone threw a pass that Rutherford took away from the Addison defender near midfield and sprinted the rest of the way for a TD. The play covered 86 yards, the longest score for Alan Scott's Raiders this season.
Good Hope led 14 to 0 at the half in which the Raiders had 167 yards offense, 109 through the air and 7 first downs.

The defense clamped down on Addison, yielding 3 first downs, 13 yards on the ground and 21 passing for 34 total.
To start the 2nd half, Addison had the football. But a fumble under a hard Raider rush was forced and recovered in the end zone for a TD. Good Hope's lead moved to 20 to 0.
About 3:00 later, the final score for the Raiders came on homecoming as Mason Drake raced 68 yards to the end zone. Rodriguez tacked on the conversion and the Raiders were up 27 to 0.
Good Hope got its 2nd consecutive shutout as Addison never got inside the "Red Zone" in the 2nd half.

The Raiders have allowed point so far, an impressive average of 3.2 points a game.
It has been 11 consecutive quarters the Raiders have not been scored upon.
Good Hope is back on the road next Friday for 4A, Region 5 play at Curry. The Raiders go into October 3 & 0 in the region, currently tied with Dora for 1st.
Kickoff will be at 7:00 p.m.
