Cullman now in Top 10 in 6A BB, Vinemont moves up to 7th in 3A:

GDW Analysis:
From the latest release of the state baseball rankings, the Cullman Bearcats have worked their way into the Top 10 of Class 6A.
Cullman is 8th as the latest poll was released Thursday morning.
The Bearcats are 16 & 11 overall and 3 & 0 in 6A, Area 13.
Cullman is at Mortimer Jordan Thursday looking for a victory to nail down the regular season area title.
The best local team record wise, the Vinemont Eagles, eased into the No. 7 spot this week for Class 3A.
Vinemont has 21 wins out of 28 games and is the Area 12 champion.
The Eagles will host a first round playoff series from Mike Cupp Field next weekend (April 18/19).
Over in Winston County, the Addison Bulldogs are No. 3 in 1A behind Appalachian and Hackleburg.
Addison just clinched the Area 13 championship and has a record of 20 & 8 heading to the weekend.
Softball:
No local team is in the Top 10 of the state softball poll for their classification.
Good Hope Lady Raiders have 15 wins, 8 losses and a tie, the best at the present time locally.
Good Hope is at home Thursday in 4A, Area 13 vs. East Lawrence. Lady Raiders are 3 & 0 in the area standings.
Fairview Lady Aggies went into a 5A, Area 15 game vs. Arab Wednesday with 14 wins in 21 games, but not ranked.
Fairview is playing at No. 7 Scottsboro Thursday. Scottsboro currently leads the area with a 3 & 0 record. Fairview was 2 & 2 prior to the area game against Arab.
