GOOD HOPE: Cullman County baseball pairings were drawn Wednesday morning from Good Hope High School.
The 2025 tournament will be played Friday and Saturday at the Good Hope diamond. The format is single elimination.
Seedings:

# 3 Good Hope
# 4 Vinemont
# 5 Hanceville
# 6 Cold Springs
# 7 Holly Pond
Fairview earned the top seed by going undefeated vs. the rest of the county.
A 10 to 2 victory at West Point March 12 took care of the process of whom will receive a bye and will not have to play until Saturday.
West Point was 5 & 1 with Good Hope 4 & 2 against the county.
Vinemont's victory over Hanceville Monday propelled the Eagles to the 4th seed. They are 4 & 2 with Good Hope getting the 3rd seed in beating the Eagles 8 to 7 at Good Hope March 6.
Holly Pond was the only team locally not to win a county matchup and is the 7th seed.
Friday schedule:
2:00: Vinemont vs. Hanceville
4:00: West Point vs. Holly Pond
6:00: Good Hope vs. Cold Springs
The higher seed will be the home team in each game.
Saturday schedule:
11:00: Fairview vs. VM/HV winner
1:00: WP/HP winner vs. GH/CS winner
3:00: Championship
Plotting their strategy:
Each team is working on getting their pitching rotation in the way they hope that can carry them to a championship accomplishment.
Area play is in heavy dose for everyone prior to the county tournament.
Vinemont, Hanceville, Holly Pond and Cold Springs completed their area assignments Tuesday.
Good Hope was to finish an area series at Danville on Wednesday while West Point had a battle at Lawrence County and Fairview was playing at Arab on Thursday.
West Point and Fairview lost the area opener Tuesday. Both need to earn a victory Thursday to force an extra game in the area setup.
Area play began this week for Good Hope, West Point and Fairview.
Vinemont leads in 3A, Area 12 and has the best overall record at 15 wins & 5 losses.
West Point is the defending county tournament champion.
The Warriors won it in 2024 by knocking off Fairview in the championship game at Fairview.
Under Drew Bryson, the Warriors have been the champion in county baseball for six consecutive years.
