Preseason volleyball set in the ACCC:

Four local players make their ACCC debut in preseason matchups:

Gameday Weekly has decided to provide exclusive coverage of Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) volleyball for the fact seven young ladies that graduated from a local high school in May, look forward to being involved in a conference that has grown through a period of time.
Preseason play for four people is set for this weekend.
Liberty Shadix, a standout at West Point, gets on the floor for the first time Thursday at Snead State Community College.
Snead will face Chattanooga State at 3:00 p.m. and Lawson State at 6:00 p.m. from Plunkett/Wallace Gymnasium in Boaz.
Shadix was all county, all area and a member of the GDW all performance team in her senior season for West Point.
Calhoun Community College, with former Cullman standout Reese Patterson on the roster, takes a short drive from Decatur Thursday to play at Oakwood University in Huntsville. Match time is 4:30 p.m.
Patterson earned recognition by being named to the GDW all performance team.
Gadsden State heads to Montgomery Saturday for a series of scrimmages at Faulkner University.
Holly Pond's Emma Earl has earned a spot on the team after giving great effort last season for the Lady Broncos. Earl was all area and on the GDW all performance team.
Gadsden will play Faulkner at 10:00 a.m., Huntingdon at 11:00 a.m., Coastal South at 12:00 p.m. and Tuskegee at 1:00 p.m.
Lacu Segrest of Fairview is a freshman for Wallace Community College Selma.
Wallace Selma has Southern Union to pay a visit on Saturday with the match to get under way at 1:00 p.m.
Other locals that are freshmen will open their season next weekend.

 Fairview standouts Abby McDonald and Ava Calvarese are now with the conference champion Wallace State Lady Lions.
Both will be ready to go when the Lady Lions go to Roane State in Tennessee for the opener on August 22 and then play in the Roane Invitational Friday and Saturday. (August 23/24).
Kabri Redding of Fairview had a good career in being selected as all county, all county tournament, all area and on the GDW all performance team.
The freshman is set to go for Bevill State with the Lady Bears to be  in the Roane Invitational August 23 & 24.
Bevill and Wallace State are to face each other in round robin play at 9:00 in Roane. This will be a reunion for Redding to take on former Fairview teammates McDonald and Calvarese.
