Hanceville & West Point tangle in jamboree game Friday evening:

Longtime county rivals to tangle in jamboree from West Point:

GDW Analysis:
WEST POINT: Hanceville Bulldogs and West Point Warriors have faced one another on the football field 51 times.
Hanceville has 31 wins in the series, West Point 19 with one game ending in a tie.
The two play each other Friday, but it does not count in the standings.
This is a jamboree for Hanceville & West Point with game time set for 7:00 p.m. from West Point Stadium.
The game serves as huge importance, for the fact both teams have new head coaches.
Levi Estes of Hanceville and Kevin McCravy of West Point will get to test their squads through game like situations as Gameday Weekly will analyze and post a story about the game the following day.
"We have had great competition in practice," Estes said during the Cullman County schools football media day July 22. "The young men are working hard. We have nine seniors this year with everyone in the position to contribute."
McCravy spoke during media day how his unit has bought into making regular appearances during summer workouts. "We feel good about our offensive line, defensive and the play of our quarterbacks."
Hanceville has posted victory in the last two meetings with West Point, winning on the road last season 29 to 15. The Bulldogs earned a 27 to 13 victory in 2022 at Ray Talley Stadium.
They have only played 8 times since 2010 with the series being silent between 2016 to 2021.
This makes it an impact game for fall jamboree based on the rivalry. This is the oldest county rivalry for Hanceville with it being 2nd to West Point. West Point and Fairview have played 53 times.
