The Facts:
Stiff sees improvement for Cullman in his 2nd year.
The Bearcats learned about their new coach last season as he learned about his team through the season.
Cullman experienced inconsistent play that was vital in several close losses.
From the team's media day August 13, Stiff is pleased about the leadership standpoint.
Stiff is pleased on the progress of Preston Gay to be his QB for the 2nd consecutive season.
Having a running game Stiff said will take pressure off Gay in moving the offense downfield.
Bob Jones is heavy loaded in regional play with the 7A school having seven games.
Cullman, Lee Huntsville and Gadsden City are the non regional opponents, each coming from Class 6A of the AHSAA.
The Bearcats all time have played eight schools from the Madison/Huntsville area.
Their best record is 11/8/1 vs. Butler, a school that no longer exists.
Cullman has 10 wins in 18 games vs. Huntsville, is combined 9 & 1 vs. Buckhorn, Hazel Green and Grissom.
The Bearcats were 3 & 3 on the road last season, winning at Milton Frank Stadium in the Rocket City vs. Columbia 49 to 0.
Cullman has 60 victories in the last 10 years, 2nd most in the Gameday Weekly coverage area to Fairview's 68.
Cullman has been a playoff qualifier for five consecutive seasons and 8 of the last 10 years.
