Raiders enjoy comeback victory over the West Point Warriors:

Raiders score 3 times in the 3rd to overcome halftime deficit:

WKUL FM Game of the Week:
WEST POINT: Good Hope's offense operated very well in the third quarter in overcoming a halftime deficit to defeat the West Point Warriors 17 to 3 Friday in the WKUL FM Game of the Week.
Good Hope had possession to start the 3rd and drove 65 yards to move ahead when Parker Johnson hit Tucker Keef 38 yards for the score. The conversion gave the Raiders a 7 to 3 advantage.
After stopping the Warriors, Good Hope had the ball again and would cover 63 yards to the end zone.
The score was a short run from Tyler Cone and the conversion made it 14 to 3 with 4:19 left in the third.
West Point lost the ball on the kickoff with the Raiders having the ball inside the Warriors' 30. Good Hope moved it toward the end zone, but the drive stalled and a field goal as the quarter ended sent the visitors ahead 17 to 3.
West Point had a chance to score late in the game but the Raiders made a stop and would end the evening with victory in their season opener.
Alan Scott's Raiders had just 72 yards offense through halftime with a fumble leading to the only score in the opening half by the Warriors, a 20 yard field goal with 7:57 showing on the clock.
Ollie Howell was a bright spot for coach Kevin McCravy's Warriors in the first half. Howell rushed for 51 yards in the first and 24 in the 2nd to account for 75 by halftime.
QB Hunter Hensley completed just four of eight passes in the first half that gained 32 yards. West Point had 104 yards at the half and seven first downs, but only three points to show for with the FG following a Raider fumble.
This is the 3rd consecutive year the road time in this series has been the winner.
Good Hope won at West Point 6 to 0 in OT in 2022, the Warriors beat the Raiders 49 to 32 in Good Hope a year ago.
This was the 54th win for coach Scott in coaching his 101st game at his alma mater. Scott is now in his 10th season with the Raiders.
