Randy Jones to present entertaining prep basketball Saturday:

Cullman, Good Hope join West Point as classic participants:

GDW Analysis:
WEST POINT: Randy Jones provided positive to West Point basketball when he coached his alma mater from 2011 to 2021.
Jones directed the Warriors to 155 victories, averaging 15.5 wins per season. His Warriors won the 2012 Cullman County championship and an area title in 2014.
Jones unfortunately was a victim of cancer from a couple of years ago.
His legacy remains astounding with West Point presenting the Randy Jones Classic in his honor.
The 2nd annual event is Saturday from Jim Boyd Gymnasium with a great day of hoops to enjoy.

This year's classic begins with the Lady Warriors facing Muscle Shoals. John Welborn's Lady Warriors went into a Thursday game at Lawrence County 10 & 2 on the season and 4 & 0 on the home floor.
Addison is in its first year with former Cold Springs standout Triston Chambers directing the Bulldogs.
Jason Johnsey has taken over the leadership at Mortimer Jordan after coaching on Stu Stuedeman's staff at Cullman the past two years.
The former head coach at MJ, Todd Golden, is now at Hartselle.

Cullman gets to face a Red Bay team that has won 7 of 9 decisions. The Tigers are a solid 2A program and have been for some time.
Cullman has won 4 in a row after the Bearcats fell in the Mike Dean Turkey Shootout title game to Hewitt Trussville Thanksgiving Eve.
Good Hope will be ready for a good encounter with Muscle Shoals. The Trojans have just played five times prior to the upcoming weekend.
Good Hope was looking to stay undefeated in an area game at home Thursday vs. East Lawrence, the area opener for Drew Adams' Raiders.
The Muscle Shoals game will be the 4th this week for the Raiders and their 6th game since back to back county games last Thursday and Friday vs. Hanceville and Holly Pond.
West Point faces JB Pennington who has a 6'5" postman in senior Jesse Amos. Amos had his way with 15 FGs, 30 points in a victory at Vinemont last Friday, seen by Gameday Weekly.
Mason Voce's Warriors have come out of the gate strong with 10 victories in their first 13 assignments.

Gameday Weekly will be selecting the players of the game with the winners to receive a plaque from the West Point Tip Off Club.
