Danville 55, Oneonta 50:
A huge win for Danville with new coach Sam Wallace in knocking off Oneonta that had 8 wins in 12 games for 2nd year coach Cory Glasscock.
Leading 23 to 22 at the half with a late rally in the 2nd, Danville caught fire on a 21 to 9 run in the 3rd, building the lead to 44 to 31.
The 4th was a cliffhanger for Danville with the Hawks missing 14 FT attempts, hitting only 3 of their final 10 tries.
Ben Ellenburg led the Hawks to their 6th win of the season with 14, Ty Bailey scored 12, Jace Gleen had 10 and Makiah Boyd finished with 7.
Danville has a 6:00 p.m. game Friday in the semifinals vs. the winner of Decatur Heritage vs. Springville.
Oneonta starts the Friday schedule at 3:00 p.m. in the consolation bracket vs. the loser of Decatur Heritage & Springville.
Decatur Heritage 67, Springville 61:
Early in the 3rd, Decatur Heritage ran the lead to 47 to 27 on Springville and seemed to have the game will in hand.
Springville never quit. The Tigers rallied and went ahead 58 to 56 with 2:45 remaining.
Heritage showed poise and would close out its 7th win of the season against 6 losses.
Center Brady Wilson tallied a three late for the Eagles and made five straight from the line in showing a good stroke when the game was on the line.
Heritage will meet Danville in the first semifinal Friday at 6:00 p.m.
Springville, now 9 & 6, gets Oneonta in the consolation bracket at 3:00 p.m.
