GDW Analysis:
COLD SPRINGS: Staying with tradition that has made girls basketball at Cold Springs High School great for a long time, the school has announced assistant coach Paige Parker Adams will take over the Lady Eagles squad.
This comes after Tammy West recently stepped down and accepted the job to coach girls basketball at Cullman High School. West was in command of Cold Springs Lady Eagles for 33 years with 754 career victories and 4 AHSAA championships.
Adams played for West with Cold Springs winning back to back AHSAA 2A titles in 2008 and 2009.
Adams was all state as a junior and senior and then went on to play collegiate ball at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee.
She got into the coaching ranks for two years with Holly Pond before returning to her alma mater in helping West.

Since 2019, Adams has seen in her role Cold Springs win the AHSAA championship, make three additional appearances to the Final Four and claim two consecutive Central Regional titles in 2023 and 2024.
Adams, who is the wife to Good Hope Raider coach Drew Adams, has great devotion to the game of basketball from which her father, Bruce Parker, coached JV at Cold Springs for a long period of time.
Her father in low, Scott Adams, directed the Holly Pond Lady Broncos to greatness in 2014 and 2015, before he stepped aside and she was given the lead role.
Cold Springs' 2024/25 campaign composed of 19 victories out of 28 games and a trip to the Northwest Regional championship game at Wallace State vs. Decatur Heritage.
The Lady Eagles were ranked between 1st and 2nd all season in the 2A poll as they have gone 8 & 0 between the area playoffs and the sub regional the last 3 seasons.
Adams guided the JV to the Cullman County championship game back in January, taking on Good Hope in the finals.
The personnel are well aware of Adams in what she is from the role of coaching.

Cold Springs will be looked at in having another solid program with Adams to handle the issue in keeping them around the top of Class 2A as well as competing for supremacy in Cullman County.
Plenty of experience is anticipated to return for 2025/26, led by Ella Dickerson, a finalist for 2A player of the year. The Lady Eagles will also have back Paizley Whitlow, Maci Huffstutler, Hollyn Bruer, Kaydance Williams that made impact throughout the season.
Newcomers that bring potential will be incoming freshman Hagen Ellis and Kyleigh Graves.
Cold Springs will remain in 2A, Area 11 for the upcoming year with Winston County and Falkville.
Adams is the 4th former player for Tammy West to become a head coach in the AHSAA. She joins Bailey West Boland who is currently at Addison, Emily Willoughby at Vinemont and Lorie Graves Kerley at Briarwood Christian in Birmingham.
