Cullman Bearcats to play Brewer at home in Friday football:

Cullman Bearcats will play the Brewer Patriots in an AHSAA football game Friday from Mark Britton Field/Oliver Woodard Stadium.
The change of the site was seen by Gameday Weekly Tuesday via Cullman football on Twitter.
No reason has been disclosed for the change.

 The two schools are playing each other for the first time since 2017.
Brewer is 1 & 3 overall with Cullman 2 & 3. The Patriots are 0 & 2 in 5A, Region 8 with the Bearcats having a 1 & 2 mark in games in 6A, Region 7.
Brewer is coached by Matt Plunkett. Plunkett coached at Cullman in 2018 then moved on to Locust Fork for two years and arrived at the Morgan County school in 2021.
Cullman is currently directed by Danny Stiff in his 2nd season.
The Bearcats have scored 109 points through the first half of the season. The defense has yielded 161 points.
Muscle Shoals went on a scoring spree last week against the 'Cats, winning by the final of 55 to 27.
Cullman was coming off a thrilling 21 to 20 victory at Jasper September 13, sending the Vikings into the loss column for the first time.
Brewer's lone victory was in the 2nd week of the schedule, a 28 to 6 defeat of county rival Priceville.
The Patriots were idle last week. Brewer had lost a high school affair the week before to Arab 41 to 28.
With the game now at Britton Field/Woodard Stadium, this will be the first of three consecutive games for Cullman on the home turf.
Cullman gets back into regional play next week when rival Hartselle comes calling. The 'Cats have the Columbia Eagles coming from Huntsville for a regional game October 11.
The Bearcats and Patriots will be carried live on 98.3, Praise FM.
Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
