GDW Analysis - JV Girls 1st round:

 HANCEVILLE: West Point Lady Warriors rallied from a 17 to 14 halftime deficit to beat the Holly Pond Lady Broncos 40 to 35 Saturday in the Cullman County JV tournament from Wallace State.
The 4 seed Lady Warriors outscored the 5 seed Lady Broncos 26 to 18 in the 2nd half, 12 in the 8 in the final period.
8th grader Kenadi Pagan led the Lady Warriors with 16 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and was 8 of 12 from the line to be selected the Gameday Weekly player of the game.
Mary Beth Penn scored 7, Chloe Hale had 5, McKenzie Nix 6, Reese Guthrie 2.
Two Lady Broncos performed well in the loss. Kynleigh Wood hot 5 threes and scored 17 points.
Milly Huddleson tallied 16 on 7 FGs, 1 trey and a FT.
Up next for West Point: Vs. 1 Cold Springs in semifinal Thursday 5:00 p.m.

Fairview 48, Vinemont 33:
Fairview had Vinemont on the ropes with a 14 to 0 lead after the first.
Vinemont made a game of it by outscoring Fairview in the 2nd and 3rd period, 23 to 19.

 That got them in striking distance at 33 to 23.
Fairview was a 15 to 10 advantage on the scoreboard in the final period.
Kensli Redding and Brooklyn Merriman both tallied 14 for the Lady Aggies.
Emmy Walker responded with 7 points, 7 rebounds, 2 treys, 5 assists to be named the GDW player of the game.
Acelyn Cruce also scored 7 and Cali Golden wound up with 5.
Bryleigh Basinger hit 7 FGs, 3 treys and led Vinemont with 17 points. Jadyn Knott scored 6 on two treys.
Up next for Fairview: Vs. 2 seed Good Hope in semifinals Friday 5:00 p.m.
