Good Hope Lady Raiders pull off comeback victory vs. Arab:

Good Hope earns a good victory on WKUL FM (92.1):

GDW Analysis:
GOOD HOPE: Ava McSwain went from scoring field goals in the 3rd period to hitting 71 percent of her free throws during the 4th Friday evening to direct the Good Hope Lady Raiders in a 52 to 46 comeback victory over Arab on WKUL FM (92.1)
Arab came to Good Hope Gymnasium determined to stun the No. 1 team in Class 4A.
It looked good for the visitors with a 22 to 21 halftime lead before McSwain went into a regular scoring mode.
The senior delivered 4 shots in the 3rd, three deep range treys and Good Hope eased in front 37 to 34.
In the 4th, the game would come down to the free throw area. McSwain was 5 of 7 from the line, ending her first game at home in January with 28 points.
McSwain accounted for 9 FGs, 4 treys and 6 of 9 from the line. McSwain was coming off scoring 25 Thursday when Good Hope romped over Dora 83 to 22 at Wallace State in the New Years Classic.
But key plays from others by coach Justin Aby were valuable for the Lady Raiders to stay undefeated at home in six decisions.
Lexi Marshall had a three and a layup off a steal in the 4th and had 10 for the game.
Lucie Adams delivered a three in the 3rd and a FG in the 4th for 5 points from a reserve role.
Arab fell to 6 & 7, but showed the crowd a very strong outing for new coach Terrance Maze.
Sophomore Lauren Lambert worked her way for 13 points, senior Lexi Mann scored 12 and senior Maggie Chastain had 9.
Good Hope goes to 15 & 4 with the victory.
