Good Hope Lady Raiders take victory in Hartselle Classic:

Lady Raiders began a good Monday for local basketball:

GDW Analysis:
HARTSELLE: Ava McSwain anchored the Good Hope Lady Raider attack early in Monday's Hartselle Classic game vs. Florence.
She had a good supporting cast during the 2nd half to key a 60 to 40 Lady Raider victory, their 3rd in a row.
McSwain tossed in 4 mid range jumpers during the 1st to propel Good Hope to a 14 to 9 lead.
She added five to her total in the 2nd and others provided scoring with the Lady Raiders moving the lead to 29 to 13 at the break.
Lexi Marshall, Jolee McHan, Sophie Konrad and Ella Gossett attributed 13 to the tally in the 3rd with Good Hope having a comfortable advantage of 46 to 22.
McSwain tossed in two shots during the 4th to finish with a game high 21 points. The senior is currently averaging 24 points with Justin Aby's Lady Raiders now 3 & 1.
McHan delivered 14 to the victory, shooting 8 of 10 from the line. Konrad scored 8, Gossett 5, Lexi Collins 4 and Marshall with 4.
Good Hope gets Mortimer Jordan in its next assignment from the Hartselle Classic Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.

Lady Broncos are on a 4 game winning streak in knocking off the Black Bears at Tom Drake Coliseum.
Cold Springs 67, Hackleburg 33 at Wallace State.
Lady Eagles moved their record to 3 & 1 in dominating the visitors from Marion County at Drake Coliseum.
Vinemont 57, New Hope 37 at Guntersville.
Vinemont is 4 & 2 in winning an assignment from Supreme Courts.
Cullman Christian 51, Falkville 50.
The Lady Lions tallied a hard fought victory over the Blue Devils to get their record even to 4 & 4. with their 2nd consecutive triumph in 3 days.
Prattville 68, Cullman 35 at Pelham.
Lady Bearcats were defeated in the semifinals of the Pelham Holiday Tournament Monday. Cullman fell to 4 & 5 for the season.
Gardendale 75, West Point 72 in Gulf Shores.
Lady Warriors lost for the first time this season in the semifinals of the Thanksgiving Classic hosted by Gulf Shores. West Point is now 6 & 1 on the season.

Local teams on Monday went 5 & 2 vs. non county opposition and has gone 9 & 2 since last Friday in this segment.
