Rosters set for AHSAA all stars in BB, SB and SC:

MONTGOMERY: Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) released its roster for the all star games in baseball, softball and soccer on Monday.
They will be part of the summer annual AHSAA All Star Sports Week, scheduled the week of July 15 at various venues in the Capitol City.
No one locally was selected for the all star matchups.
But GDW is analyzing a series of soccer players that was covered by yours truly and WKUL FM broadcaster Rich Jesse during the state championships in Huntsville May 10-11, have accepted an invitation to play.
For soccer, Team North girls consist of Springville MVP Rebecca Sierra-Burciaga, Samantha Wakefield of Donoho, Langston Lilly of Mountain Brook, Taylor Leib of Briarwood Christian.
For the South squad, Francheska Arellano of St. Michael, Claire Nappier of Auburn, Peyton Planalp of Gulf Shores will look to perform well as they did in early May for the prep teams.
Players seen by the WKUL broadcasters that are on the North group are AJ Shumate of Guntersville, Giedon Malone of Homewood, Aiden Gamble of Westminster Oak Mountain, Brycen Thrasher of Mars Hill.
South players selected that were in the state championships feature Mathew Bolding of Auburn, Luke Ferguson of Bayside Academy, Coan Park of Auburn, Ethan Spueler of Spanish Fort.
Players from nearby the GDW coverage area that have been invited to be in the summer time classic are Drew Puccio of Arab BB, Elizabeth Godfrey of Hartselle SB, Ambrey Taylor of Curry SB, Lily Livingston of Arab SB.
In the sport of basketball, Good Hope's Ava McSwain and Jake Dorough of Cullman were selected and will play for Team North.
McSwain is the 2nd straight Good Hope player to be in this event, Last year, Lady Raider standout Ivey Maddox participated for the North. She shared the local spotlight with Cold Springs guard Macie Brown.
Participants in the AHSAA All Star Sports Week are entering their senior year in high school.
The All Star Sports Week has been active by the AHSAA and the city of Montgomery since 1997.
