Team scoring delivers a win for Cullman Christian Lady Lions:

First win in area play for CCS:

GDW Analysis:
Ella Davis of the St. Bernard Lady Saints showed great individual play with a game high 30 points Monday against area rival Cullman Christian School.
But it was the Cullman Christian School Lady Lions that used team scoring in the 4th to come from behind and earn a 46 to 38 victory in 1A, Area 14 hoops.
Four starters contributed in a 17 to 6 scoring surge during the final stanza when CCS went into the period trailing 32 to 29.
Gracie Stidham had five critical points in crunch time with Zoe Powell scoring four, Piper Coots three and Lila Sellers two.
Three points by Katelee Blalock off the bench was huge too in showing team scoring can overcome the effort on one individual that was hard to contain.
Davis accounted for 17 of St. Bernard's 22 in the first half and 13 of the 16 points from the final half of play.
No one else for the Lady Saints could provide consistency in supporting Davis on the offensive side.
That was different for Heith Yearwood's Lady Lions. Sellers finished with a team high 18, Coots scored 10, Stidham had 9 and Powell four for 41 from the starting lineup.
Blalock added five with CCS getting its first win in Area 14. The Lady Lions are 1 & 3 in the area and 7 & 11 on the season.
St. Bernard dropped to 4 & 3 overall and 1 & 2 in the area standings.
The visitors led CCS 9 to 7 after the first, 22 to 15 at the half. CCS went on a 14 to 10 run in the 3rd to narrow the deficit to 32 to 29 setting up a solid 4th period for the Lady Lions at home.
Blalock got CCS on top to stay with a short range FG late in the 4th to make it 36 to 34.
Stidham and Blalock went 1 of 2 from the line in the 4th while Powell dropped in two of four from the stripe.
