GDW Tuesday evening prep hoops report:
Vinemont 64, Falkville 43:
FALKVILLE: Vinemont Eagles put together a strong performance against the Falkville Blue Devils to carry the momentum from it into the AHSAA playoffs.
The Eagles scored 16 in the 1st, 17 in the 2nd and 18 in the 3rd in showing offensive consistency. Vinemont led 33 to 22 at the half and 51 to 35 following the 3rd.
Vinemont's 7th win of the season was anchored by Bryson Bush with 18, 12 in the 2nd half. Colton Gillis scored 15, 11 in the final half, Will Conquest with 12, 10 in the first half.
Cheston Wilhite scored 8, EJ Sharpe 3, Tucker Mauter 5 and Gavin Parr 3.
Cullman 72, Locust Fork 57:
In a matchup of the regular season winner from 6A, Area 13, playing host to the best team in 3A, Area 11, Cullman pulled away from Locust Fork late at Bearcat Arena.
Jake Dorough was on fire with 27, Preston Gay scored 16 and Evan Wilson 9 for the No. 9 Bearcats in the 6A poll. Cullman is 24 & 4 on the season.
Good Hope 66, Holly Pond 45:
GOOD HOPE: After defeating Holly Pond in the Cullman County tournament final, Good Hope took down the Broncos in a regular season game Tuesday from Good Hope Gymnasium.
The Raiders now have a 6 game winning streak and 21 & 6.
Holly Pond fell to 13 & 15 with its third consecutive loss.
Good Hope 50, Holly Pond 39 (G):
GOOD HOPE: After winning their 4th straight Cullman County championship over the weekend, the Lady Raiders toppled the Lady Broncos and will go into the playoffs with 21 wins out of 26 games.
Holly Pond dropped to 17 & 8.
West Point 84, Ragland 22:
WEST POINT: On senior night, West Point romped over the visiting Purple Devils from Ragland.
The Warriors ended a 2 game losing streak in moving the season mark to 18 & 7.
Fairview 66, Hayden 14 (G):
HAYDEN: For the 2nd straight game, the Fairview Lady Aggies routed the oppositon.
Fairview clobbered Brewer 63 to 30 at home Monday.
on Tuesday, the Lady Aggies went to Hayden and came back to Fairview with a 16 & 14 overall record.
Hayden 90, Fairview 72:
HAYDEN: A shootout was on display Tuesday with the Aggies and Hayden Wildcats. Hayden had a little bit more on the scoreboard.
The Aggies fell to 13 & 17 for the season.
Dora 52, Cold Springs 40:
COLD SPRINGS: Dora kept Cold Springs from a win Tuesday evening, prior to the Eagles hosting the 2A, Area 11 tournament this weekend.
Cleveland 38, Cullman Christian 33 (G):
CLEVELAND: Cullman Christian Lady Lions played the Cleveland Lady Panthers close Tuesday night, but fell in a road game.
The Lady Lions have 10 wins against 16 losses in their first official year with the AHSAA.
Cullman Christian School visits St. Bernard in the 1A, Area 14 tournament Friday evening.
