West Point golfer reaches Sweet 16 of US Junior Amateur:

Sutter performs well all week:

GDW Analysis:
BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Michigan: A great week of golf for West Point's Bailey Sutter ended in the Round of 16 of the US Junior Amateur championship Thursday.
Brooks Simmons of Dallas prevailed in the matchup with the standout local linkster 40 to 56 in match play.
Simmons jumped ahead by leading Sutter a stroke after the first hole. The Texan would move the lead to 4 up by the completion of the 7th hole.
Sutter was never able to put together scores he needed as the match went on. He won the 9th hole with the duo playing even from 10 to 13 before Simmons showed advantage in the 14th and 15th hole.
From the Round of 32, Sutter won four holes of his battle vs. Jessy Hubner of Fort St. Lucie, Florida.
By winning the hole on 13 and 14, Sutter got it going that would carry him to victory and to the Sweet 16.
Sutter earned his opportunity to play in the national after winning the Alabama Junior State championship in June at Silver Lakes Course near Gadsden.
Sutter has set the tone of working hard and seeing success as he has three more years of golf competition with the AHSAA, aside from his time with the Alabama Golf Association (AGA) and the United States Golf Association (USGA).
